Recount may be a text that retells events or experiences within the past. Its purpose is either to tell or to entertain the audience. there's no complication among the participants which differentiates from narrative

1. Orientation: Introducing the participants, place and time

2. Events: Describing series of event that happened within the past

3. Reorientation: it's nonmandatory. Stating personal comment of the author to the story

Recount text is majorly written in past mode. because it tells the story of of bound expertise, it should be written in easy past, past imperfect or past perfect tense tense.
